About Us

Since its charter, Rutland Elks Lodge #345 has been the kind of place where a stranger walks in and leaves with directions to the best dinner spots in the Green Mountains, a handshake from a veteran, and a reason to come back. That's not marketing, that's what riders from the Ourride2022 crew actually experienced when they stopped in on their way to Killington.

The lodge sits at 44 Pleasant St with plenty of parking, a full bar, and a dance floor that sees real use on event nights. The room has the comfortable weight of a place that's been gathering people for decades, not the sterile polish of somewhere trying too hard. Regulars know the bartenders by name, and the bartenders know what you drink.

Every Veterans Day, the lodge opens its doors for a free meal honoring those who served, a tradition that has meant the world to area veterans since at least 2015. With a 4.6-star rating from members and guests alike, the numbers back up what you feel the moment you walk through the door.

What We Offer

Lodge #345 runs a full calendar of events, from live entertainment nights on the dance floor to charitable fundraisers that put money directly back into the Rutland community. The bar is well-stocked, the atmosphere is genuine, and the parking lot is large enough that you never have to circle the block.

The lodge hosts its celebrated free Veterans Day meal each November, drawing veterans from across the region for a hot dinner and heartfelt recognition. Membership opens the door to a national network of Elks lodges in every state, meaning your card gets you a warm welcome from Vermont to California.

Beyond the social side, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks channels member energy into scholarships, youth programs, and veteran support. Joining Lodge #345 isn't just a membership card. It's a seat at a table that has been doing real good in Rutland for generations.

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
